Role: Middle Manual QA Engineer

Summary
Join our QA team to help deliver reliable, user-friendly software by applying strong manual testing practices across web and/or mobile products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to validate requirements, prevent regressions, and ensure high product quality from early development through release.

Key Responsibilities
1) Review product requirements, specifications, and designs to identify gaps, risks, and testable acceptance criteria.
2) Plan, design, and maintain clear test documentation, including test cases, checklists, and test suites.
3) Execute manual functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and UI/UX consistency testing across supported platforms and browsers.
4) Create high-quality defect reports with reproducible steps, expected vs actual results, logs, screenshots, and clear severity/priority recommendations.
5) Validate fixes, track defect lifecycle, and ensure issues are resolved without introducing regressions.
6) Collaborate daily with engineers and product stakeholders to clarify behavior, refine acceptance criteria, and improve test coverage.
7) Support release readiness by participating in test planning, risk assessment, and go/no-go discussions when needed.
8) Work with APIs and databases at a basic level to verify data integrity (e.g., using REST tools and simple SQL queries).
9) Contribute to QA process improvements (templates, checklists, definition of done, and test strategy inputs).
10) Communicate testing status, progress, and quality risks in a timely, constructive, and transparent way.

Must-Have Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in manual QA/testing for commercial software products.
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals: SDLC/STLC, test levels, defect management, and test design techniques.
- Experience writing and maintaining test cases and test documentation (e.g., in TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or similar tools).
- Confident bug reporting skills with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Hands-on experience testing web applications (cross-browser testing) and/or mobile applications.
- Basic API testing skills (e.g., Postman) and understanding of HTTP methods and status codes.
- Basic SQL skills for data checks and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- English proficiency sufficient for daily collaboration and documentation.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with test management and reporting metrics (coverage, defect leakage, trends).
- Familiarity with browser developer tools and basic client-server debugging.
- Experience with accessibility, performance, or security testing at a basic level.
- Experience in a regulated domain (fintech, healthcare) or with complex workflows.
- Exposure to test automation concepts and readiness to collaborate with automation engineers (even if you are not writing code daily).
