Role Title: Middle QA Web Engineer

Summary
We are looking for a Middle QA Web Engineer to help ensure our web products are reliable, fast, and delightful to use. In this role, you will own testing activities across the development lifecycle, collaborate closely with engineers and product partners, and strengthen our quality practices through solid test design and automation. Key Responsibilities
• Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and checklists for web applications (UI, API, and integrations).
• Build and improve automated test suites (end-to-end, integration, and regression) and keep them stable and maintainable.
• Perform manual exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and workflow gaps.
• Validate API behavior using appropriate tools and ensure correct status codes, schemas, and data handling.
• Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria, identify risks early, and troubleshoot defects efficiently.
• Write clear, actionable bug reports including steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, logs, screenshots, and priority/severity.
• Set up and maintain test data, test environments, and CI/CD test execution where applicable.
• Analyze test results, track quality metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
• Participate in sprint activities (planning, refinement, reviews) and advocate for quality throughout delivery.
• Contribute to documentation related to QA approaches, test coverage, and release readiness.

Must-Have Requirements
• 2–4+ years of QA experience focused on web applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals: test design techniques, defect lifecycle, risk-based testing, and regression strategy.
• Experience testing modern web UIs across browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari/Edge) and responsive layouts.
• Practical experience with API testing (REST), including validation of payloads and common auth methods.
• Experience with test automation for web applications (end-to-end or UI automation) using a mainstream framework.
• Ability to read and work with technical artifacts (requirements, user stories, API docs, logs).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborating in a team development workflow.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or another scripting language used for automation.
• Experience with performance testing basics (e.g., Lighthouse, k6, JMeter) and web performance concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and running tests in pipelines.
• Knowledge of test management and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to quality gates and Definition of Done.
• Exposure to accessibility testing (WCAG) and security testing fundamentals (OWASP).
