Role Title: Middle QA Web Engineer

Summary
We are looking for a Middle QA Web Engineer to help ensure our web applications are reliable, secure, and easy to use. In this role, you will design and execute effective test strategies, collaborate closely with developers and product partners, and continuously improve quality practices across the delivery lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
• Design, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test suites for web applications across functional and non-functional requirements
• Perform manual testing (exploratory, regression, smoke, integration) and document clear, actionable defect reports with reproduction steps and evidence
• Develop and maintain automated test coverage for UI and API layers, focusing on stability, readability, and maintainability
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, and identify risks early
• Validate cross-browser and responsive behavior across common devices, operating systems, and screen sizes
• Test API integrations, data flows, and third-party services; verify contracts and handle edge cases and error scenarios
• Contribute to CI/CD quality gates by integrating automated tests, monitoring results, and reducing flaky tests
• Analyze test outcomes and product metrics to identify patterns, prioritize improvements, and recommend preventive actions
• Support performance and basic security validation efforts (e.g., input validation, common web vulnerabilities) in partnership with the team
• Improve QA documentation, standards, and workflows to make quality practices repeatable and scalable

Must-Have Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in QA for web applications (manual and/or automation)
• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals: test design techniques, defect lifecycle, risk-based testing, and regression strategy
• Hands-on experience testing modern web applications (SPA/SSR), including cross-browser and responsive testing
• Experience testing APIs (REST/JSON) using tools such as Postman or similar; ability to interpret logs and network calls
• Familiarity with test automation concepts and at least one automation approach/tool (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO)
• Comfortable working with Git and collaborating in a code-review-based workflow
• Ability to write clear documentation and communicate issues and trade-offs effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and building maintainable test frameworks or utilities
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and improving pipeline reliability
• Basic performance testing experience (e.g., Lighthouse, k6, JMeter) and understanding of web performance metrics
• Familiarity with accessibility testing basics (WCAG) and common tooling
• Experience with SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
• Exposure to security testing concepts (OWASP Top 10) and secure SDLC practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in estimation and planning
