Role Title: Junior Web Developer (AI-Enabled Web Applications)

Summary
We are looking for a Junior Web Developer with an AI background to help build and improve modern web applications that integrate intelligent features such as recommendations, search, automation, or conversational experiences. In this role, you will work alongside product, design, and engineering teammates to deliver reliable, user-friendly web experiences while learning and growing in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain responsive, accessible web user interfaces using modern web standards.
- Implement front-end features from design specifications, ensuring quality across browsers and devices.
- Develop and maintain server-side APIs and integrations that support web application functionality.
- Integrate AI-powered capabilities (e.g., LLM-driven features, personalization, classification, summarization) into web products under guidance from senior engineers.
- Collaborate with teammates to define requirements, estimate work, and deliver incremental improvements in agile sprints.
- Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve overall quality.
- Monitor application behavior, troubleshoot defects, and resolve production issues with a focus on stability and user impact.
- Contribute to documentation for features, APIs, and developer workflows to support knowledge sharing.

Must-Have Requirements
- 5 years of hands-on experience building web applications (academic, professional, or significant project experience).
- Proficiency with JavaScript and modern web development practices (ES6+, async programming, REST).
- Experience with a modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Working knowledge of back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Python, or similar) and building/consuming APIs.
- Demonstrated AI/ML background (coursework, projects, or professional exposure) and familiarity with applying AI capabilities in a product context.
- Understanding of data handling basics (JSON, data validation, secure input handling) and web security fundamentals.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, and learn quickly in a team environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models) and implementing prompt patterns safely (guardrails, evaluation, monitoring).
- Familiarity with TypeScript and component-driven UI development.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and basic data modeling.
- Knowledge of testing tools (Jest, Playwright, Cypress) and observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
- Experience with performance optimization, accessibility standards (WCAG), and SEO fundamentals.
