Role Title: Middle Manual QA Engineer

Summary
We’re looking for a Middle Manual QA Engineer to help ensure our products are reliable, user-friendly, and ready for release. In this role, you’ll own test planning and hands-on execution across web and/or mobile applications, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Support to prevent defects and improve quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities
• Create and maintain clear, detailed test documentation (test cases, checklists, test plans) aligned with product requirements.
• Execute manual functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across assigned features and releases.
• Analyze requirements and designs, identify gaps and risks early, and propose test strategies and quality improvements.
• Log, track, and verify defects with strong reproduction steps, evidence, and impact assessment; collaborate with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Validate fixes, perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues, and help prevent regressions through better coverage and processes.
• Participate in sprint activities (refinement, planning, daily syncs, reviews) to ensure quality is built in from the start.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure consistent understanding of “done.”
• Support release readiness by coordinating regression cycles, reporting test status, and communicating quality risks transparently.
• Improve and standardize QA processes, templates, and best practices to increase efficiency and consistency across projects.
• Contribute to test environment readiness (data setup, configuration checks) and help troubleshoot environment-related issues.

Must-Have Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in manual QA/testing for web and/or mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals: SDLC/STLC, test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and risk-based testing.
• Ability to write high-quality test cases and maintain test suites with good structure and traceability.
• Confident defect reporting skills: clear reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, logs/screenshots, severity/priority rationale.
• Experience working with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira and similar).
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Solid knowledge of client-server architecture basics and HTTP/HTTPS fundamentals.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
• English proficiency sufficient for reading documentation and communicating with stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman) and basic understanding of REST/JSON.
• Hands-on experience with SQL for validating data (basic queries).
• Experience testing integrations (payments, notifications, third-party services).
• Familiarity with browser developer tools, logs, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with accessibility, localization, or cross-browser/cross-device testing approaches.
• Interest in test automation or experience supporting automation engineers (even without writing code).
