Role Title: Middle Frontend Engineer

Summary
We’re looking for a Middle Frontend Engineer to build reliable, user-friendly web experiences and help evolve our frontend platform. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to ship features end-to-end, improve performance and accessibility, and raise engineering standards through clean, maintainable code.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
• Build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and component-based frameworks.
• Translate product requirements and design mockups into well-structured, reusable UI components and flows.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts, integrate services, and ensure smooth data handling and error states.
• Improve application performance (rendering, bundle size, caching, perceived load time) using profiling and optimization techniques.
• Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) to support reliable releases.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to shared frontend standards, and help keep the codebase consistent and maintainable.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI bugs, cross-browser issues, and production incidents with a pragmatic approach.
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, including state management, routing, and component organization.
• Work within an iterative delivery process, communicating estimates, tradeoffs, and progress clearly to stakeholders.

Must-Have Requirements
• 3+ years of professional frontend engineering experience delivering production web applications.
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and professional experience with TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework (React preferred; Vue/Angular also acceptable).
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive layout techniques (Flexbox/Grid).
• Experience consuming REST APIs (and/or GraphQL) and handling async data flows, loading states, and errors.
• Familiarity with state management patterns (e.g., React Context, Redux, Zustand, MobX, or equivalent).
• Practical testing experience with tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Git and collaborative development practices (branching, PRs, code reviews).
• Understanding of web performance, security basics (e.g., XSS prevention), and accessibility fundamentals (WCAG concepts).
• Ability to communicate clearly in a cross-functional environment and take ownership of deliverables.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with Next.js (or similar SSR/SSG frameworks) and SEO-related best practices.
• Experience building or maintaining a design system or component library.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, Apollo/Relay, or advanced API client patterns.
• Experience with monorepos and tooling (Nx, Turborepo, pnpm workspaces).
• CI/CD familiarity for frontend builds and deployments (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with observability tools (Sentry, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and production debugging.
• Prior work in high-traffic or performance-sensitive consumer applications.
