Role Summary
We’re looking for a Junior QA Engineer to help ensure our products are reliable, user-friendly, and ready for release. In this role, you’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to test new features, document results, and continuously improve our quality practices. This is a great opportunity to grow your QA skills in both manual and automated testing with mentorship and clear development pathways.

Key Responsibilities
• Execute manual test cases for web and/or mobile applications, including functional, regression, and smoke testing.
• Review product requirements and acceptance criteria and help identify gaps, risks, and unclear areas early.
• Create, maintain, and improve test cases, checklists, and test data to support repeatable testing.
• Log, track, and verify defects in a bug tracking tool; provide clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence (screenshots, logs).
• Collaborate with developers to validate fixes and confirm expected behavior before release.
• Support test planning activities and contribute to release readiness by reporting on test progress and results.
• Assist with basic test automation tasks (e.g., maintaining existing scripts, adding simple test coverage) under guidance.
• Participate in team ceremonies (stand-ups, refinements, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Help ensure quality best practices are followed, including documentation, version control basics, and test environment hygiene.

Must-Have Requirements
• 0–2 years of experience in software testing, QA internships, bootcamps, or relevant project experience.
• Understanding of software testing fundamentals (test case design, defect lifecycle, regression testing).
• Ability to write clear test cases and defect reports with attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, APIs, browsers) and how to test web applications.
• Familiarity with at least one defect tracking or project tool (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, YouTrack) or willingness to learn quickly.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while staying organized and dependable.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Exposure to test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
• Basic API testing experience using tools like Postman or similar.
• Understanding of SQL basics for validating data.
• Familiarity with Git and CI concepts (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Experience testing mobile apps (iOS/Android) or working with cross-browser/device testing tools.
• Interest in learning performance testing or security testing fundamentals.
