Job Title: General QA Engineer

Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented General QA Engineer to help ensure our products meet high standards of quality, reliability, and usability. In this role, you will plan and execute tests, document results, and partner closely with Product and Engineering to prevent defects and improve customer experience. Key Responsibilities
• Design, maintain, and execute manual test cases for web and/or mobile applications across functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria before development begins.
• Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear steps, expected vs. actual results, logs, and supporting screenshots or videos.
• Validate fixes and perform regression testing to ensure changes do not introduce new issues.
• Support release readiness by coordinating test cycles, tracking quality risks, and communicating test status to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and release sign-off notes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices across the team.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives) and provide a quality perspective throughout delivery.
• Assist with basic API testing and data validation to confirm end-to-end behavior across system components.
• Partner with Engineering to improve testability, observability, and overall product quality.

Must-Have Requirements
• Experience in a QA, software testing, or quality engineering role (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, defect life cycle, and QA methodologies.
• Ability to write clear, thorough test cases and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience using issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira and similar platforms).
• Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Comfort working in an agile environment and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Basic understanding of web technologies (HTTP, browsers, client/server concepts) and debugging with browser developer tools.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and basic SQL for data verification.
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts and how QA fits into modern delivery pipelines.
• Experience testing mobile apps (iOS/Android) or accessibility and performance basics.
• Experience working in regulated industries or environments with formal QA documentation requirements.
